I have been commissioned by Mayoka Village, Nkhata Bay, Malawi to create a series of unique pieces in selected chalets at their lodge. This is the first one and is my first piece that is a tone on tone. The brief was to create a more pattern based piece, a form of hand painted wallpaper that would become the subtle focal point of the room. It revolves around the flora and fauna that envelops the lodge. Mayoka Village is the most popular lodge in Malawi and is regularly visited by people travelling throughout Southern and Eastern Africa. Oil based paints on lime plaster, approximately four metres by three metres.
